Our 2020 Wine & Candy Pairing Guide
Who says the kids get to have all the fun on Halloween? It’s your turn. Put the sweet little angels, that is… the scary little goblins to bed and get ready to “inspect” (wink.wink) some candy and enjoy your favorite bottle of 1850 Wine Cellars wine. Here are some of our favorite pairings.
2017 Sauvignon Blanc & Skittles: For a taste of Summer in the middle of Fall try this combination. The citrus notes will tame the sweetness and push the fruitiness to the forefront.
2017 Chardonnay & Candy Corn: Be brave and embrace the candy corn. The malolactic fermentation and oak notes of our Chardonnay will compliment the buttery, vanilla goodness of the candy.
Cabernet Sauvignon & Peanut Butter Cups: Do I need to explain why this is good? Jammy fruit and peanut butter are a classic, can’t go wrong, pair...the chocolate is a bonus.
Hillside Red & Snickers bar: When you are in need of a substantial snack, try the bold red flavors of our Hillside blend with this salty-sweet favorite.
GSM & KitKat: This medium bodied red blend will complement, without overpowering, the light chocolate and wafer cookie bar.
Zinfandel & Hershey’s Chocolate Bar: The straight forward simplicity of a square of chocolate can be transformed. Paired with our Zinfandel you will add berry flavors to every chocolatey bite.
