This special wine is beautifully complex, heady and aromatic. You’ll keep wanting to smell it as it opens up in your glass with spicy oak, dark plum fruit, vanilla, maple, earth and an almost tropical perfume. On the palate it is beautifully balanced between tannin and acidity, and medium-bodied. Not heavily extracted in style, and therefore ready to drink now and over the next 5 years.
WINEMAKING NOTES: 100% Petite Sirah.
Harvested early in the morning, and then hand-sorted at the winery to select only the highest quality
bunches for this bottling.
FOOD PAIRING: Blue cheese, aged Gouda, Chicken Molé.
AGING: We produced two barrels of this wine, aged for 20 months in 100% 2nd fill American Oak.
